Hand-wrapping a temari ball is slow, precise, and completely mesmerizing — much like my own creative process when making my thread sculptures.
Temari ball wrapping will be one of our hands-on workshops during my October 2026 Japan Fiber Art Creative Retreat, and honestly… it’s the one I’m most excited about. Embroidery thread is my favorite medium to work with, so learning a new thread art form is right up my alley.
